This proposed 18,000 S.F. assisted living facility was actually to be one of 4 similar units to be built in Onsted. The idea was to create a senior living campus with differing levels of care for each building. Each building was to have 24 apartments, laundry facilities, full kitchen, excercise room, and a large activity/dining area with vaulted ceilings.

The building itself was to be constructed on a poured foundation with a slab floor. Walls were to be ICF for energy efficiency.

Unfortunately this is as far as this project has gotten. It stalled in the concept stage due to financing, as so many other projects do. Here are the drawings and views that have been generated thus far. Who knows, maybe this project will start once again. I think that with the advent of baby boomers reaching the care home age, facilities like this are soon to be in high demand everywhere.
